1. Seller lists on marketplace
Seller publishes the card on Vinted/eBay and shares DCT proof (public certificate or Protected by Digital Card Twin badge).
2. Seller initializes transfer lock
After marketplace payment confirmation, seller initializes transfer in vault. Title moves to LOCKED_FOR_TRANSACTION and is reserved for the designated buyer.
3. Shipping and hold state
Seller ships physically through marketplace logistics. DCT keeps title reserved while waiting for buyer reception confirmation.
4. Buyer receives and inspects
Buyer compares the received card against Genesis master scans (micro-defects, centering, cert number).
5. Atomic title transfer
Buyer confirmation triggers unlock + NFT transfer to buyer vault. Chain-of-title updates instantly in registry.
If no dispute is opened, a time-lock fallback can auto-settle transfer after 10 days.
Buyer can provide delivery proof and received-card evidence; transfer can be force-completed after review.
Transfer is frozen in dispute escrow until evidence review completes.
